4 MB Upgrade for the FreeFlight Systems Approach and
Approach Plus
Navigation Management Systems

life of our professional grade navigation management
systems for years to come
The 4 MB nav database memory
upgrade for our TSO-certified Approach and Approach
Plus Navigation Management Systems (including the
I/O models) and equivalent legacy equipment with the
Trimble name is now available. The upgrade will entail
a minor hardware modification, a software change,
and a higher capacity data card.
To make the change as convenient
as possible for our dealers, FreeFlight Systems has
established a “4 MB Upgrade Program” where
our U.S. customers may contact your avionics dealers
or FreeFlight Systems directly to arrange for your
Approach or Approach Plus Navigation Management System
to be returned to the factory to receive the necessary
hardware and software upgrades, along with the new
data card. For international customers, you may return
your systems to FreeFlight Systems or, you can have
the upgrades performed at one of FreeFlight Systems’
Factory Authorized Repair Centers identified on the
dealer section of the FreeFlight Systems website,
www.freeflightsystems.com.
Due to high demand, the
Factory update will take up to 3 to 5 working weeks,
or longer, depending on the current workload. Approach
and Approach Plus model upgrades should have been
completed by June 4, 2009 to be able to continue to
use the Jeppesen NavDataŽ services. If you have not
sent in your unit yet, please schedule your upgrade
immediately so your nav data services will be usable.
